Aptitude assessment

Starting in spring 2026, the aptitude assessment will include an interview and a written test. All applicants who pass the fitness test will proceed to the aptitude assessment, which takes place at the Training Institute on the same day as the fitness test.

• The aptitude assessment consists of an interview and a written test.
• Interviews are conducted by the staff of the Prison and Probation Service.
• The written test assesses the applicant’s proficiency in Finnish.
• The aptitude assessment takes approximately one hour to complete.
