Application requirements

Before applying, please check this page to ensure that you meet the legal requirements set for applicants. Applicants who do not meet these requirements cannot be invited to the fitness tests.

Applicants may be admitted to the qualification programme in prison and probation services if they:

• have reached the age of 18 by the end of the application period;
• have completed, by the end of the application period, at least an upper secondary vocational qualification (initial vocational qualification, further vocational qualification or specialist vocational qualification), the general upper secondary education syllabus or the matriculation examination (L672/2005), or an equivalent earlier qualification, or corresponding foreign studies;
• are suitable for work in the prison and probation services in terms of health and other characteristics: and
• have at least a category B driving licence.
